Burners without Borders Detroit- Potluck Thanksgiving Dinner

As we have in the past we are hosting a community dinner to remind us the importance of breaking bread and sharing a meal with people in our community.. to see old friends and make new ones.

This is also the time of year we are in full speed for raising awareness of the homeless issue in Detroit and collecting items to help them out with our Homeless Backpack Project.

Please know any left over food will be taken directly to the Veterans Center on Milwaukee..just as we have done for the last two years. If you have containers you do not mind leaving there please bring them.. that helps us transport food.

If you have socks, gloves, water, juice boxes, hand-warmers and small hygiene products please bring them as well as our Packing Event will soon follow this dinner.

Bring a dish to pass.. more information will follow hopefully with a spreadsheet so we dont have a ton of duplicates.
If you care to volunteer to help coordinate this please hit me up.

BIG thanks to Joe Van Bael for allowing us to use the Tangent. Any cash donations at the door will be given to him to offset the cost of his helping us out. (think $2-5 to help him help us!!)

Looking forward to seeing you there.

UPDATE—-I was just notified that anything we raise at the Thanksgiving dinner….including donations or door will be matched again by a generous anonymous donor. We are very thankful and grateful for this opportunity.
