Through the Eyes of the Homeless is part of Reveal Your Detroit, a community wide photography project. Burners Without Borders (BWB) participated in the project by putting twenty disposable cameras in the hands of our city’s homeless population, giving them a chance to express their story to people who may never encounter them. Craig speaks with Detroit News archivist and creative mind behind the exhibit, Danielle Kaltz and Detroit Revitalization Fellow at the DIA, Brad Frost about the exhibit and its importance to the community. The exhibit opens at the Detroit Public Library, across from the DIA on June 15. Reveal Your Detroit is a DIA led project initiated by Frost as a community based project in response to the museum’s exhibition, “Detroit Revealed: 2000-2010.” The exhibition will highlight all of the community groups that completed the project (including WDET!)
